Privacy — What This Site Does and Doesn't Collect
Short version: no accounts, no cookies, no ads, no third-party trackers. The whole list of what the game stores fits on this page.
HelixJump.world collects no personal data. There is no sign-up, no email, no cookies, and no third-party scripts, ads or analytics on any page. The game keeps a random leaderboard token and your scores so the public leaderboard works, and counts visits anonymously so we can see whether anyone is playing. That's the entire list. The site is safe for kids: no chat, no purchases, no contact between players.
What the game stores
- A random leaderboard token. The first time you finish a run, the game creates a random ID (like
user12345) and a secret token, kept in your browser's local storage. That's how your best score stays yours. It isn't linked to a name, email or device ID. - Your scores. Each finished run's score and the time it was played, tied to that random ID, so the leaderboard and records pages work.
- A display name, only if you set one. It's shown publicly on the leaderboard. Don't use your real name if you'd rather not; anything is fine. Offensive names are filtered.
- Settings and your personal best — stored only in your browser (local storage), never sent anywhere.
Visit counts
Each page view sends one small anonymous signal to our own server: the page, where you came from (the referrer), your screen size, browser type, language and time zone, and your IP address with the last part removed. It's used only for aggregate counts — how many people played today, which pages get read. There is no cross-site tracking, no advertising profile, and nothing is shared with or sent to any other company. No cookie is set.
Feedback
If you send feedback from the game, we keep what you typed, the page you were on, and your email address only if you chose to enter one (so we can reply). Your IP address is stored as a one-way hash purely to stop spam.
What there isn't
- No accounts, passwords or email sign-up.
- No cookies of any kind.
- No ads, ad networks or "watch an ad to continue".
- No Google Analytics, Facebook pixel or any third-party script — every request goes to this site only.
- No chat, messaging or contact between players.
- No in-app purchases and nothing to buy.
- No selling or sharing of data with anyone.
Deleting your data
Clear this site's data in your browser and the token, settings and personal best are gone; the game will simply create a fresh anonymous ID next time you play. To have a leaderboard entry removed from the server, send a note through the in-game feedback button with your display name and we'll delete it.
Where the data lives
On our own server in the EU, not on a third-party platform. The site is an independent project, not affiliated with VOODOO or the official Helix Jump app; the app's own privacy practices are described on its app-store pages. See also the parents' guide and the FAQ.
